This powerhouse is modeled from drawings and photos of an SP common standard design. The power house generated both steam and electricity for other buildings, usually maintenance buildings in remote servicing locations.

The kit uses laser cut and cast components, along with corrugated siding. It includes the (half) tank shown in the picture – an oil car that was half buried at the site in the prototype photo. You can view the kit assembly instructions here.
