This kit was developed using a combination of drawings made in 1910 of Southern Pacific interlocking towers and photos and measurements of the tower still preserved at Santa Clara, California. This was a common standard Southern Pacific design. The Santa Clara tower was built in 1926 and remained in service until 1993.
The kit is laser cut from MDF, laserboard, and acrylic, and includes interior details as well as a large battery box that was positioned outside the building.
